Short test section of track with concrete sleepers laid in 2001

notice the ghosts of the rotted out keruing sleepers either side of the test section that had only lasted 19 years

The Cromar White section alloy track is fixed on plastic pads from Peco ( for big track not 00) with the 32mm roofing screws
into nylon tubes (air line) moulded in the concrete. The sleepers have 2.5mm galvanized wire  longitudinal reinforcing by two.
